Public bug reported:

In Ubuntu 16.04...

The ispell-autobuildhash has problems with the dutch dictionary, because
some of the words in it contain a single quote as the last character.

Examples:

Abbas'
Abdelaziz'
Adrianus'
Aeneas'

etc.

These are typically names ending with an s or z where the meaning is
that you want to indicate something belonging to the person:

Alfons' jas -> "de jas van Alfons"

I don't know if this belongs in the dictionary, as the ' is a
grammatical addition. In names without the s at the end, you'd use 's,
like: Simon's jas (De jas van Simon)

The question is, is the "dutch" dictionary file broken, or ispell?
If ispell can figure out this grammatical rule, I'd say the dictionary should not contain names with a ' at the end. If ispell cannot, it should accept quotes as the last character, and if it does accept it, ispell will be more robust than before, which is a good thing.
